Farr 30 World Championship 2012 - Båstad - Day one Race 2 and 3

Second race was interrupted short after start as the wind shifted so much that the to east that the boats on the right side of the starting line could reach the mark in one tack.

In the second start attempt the wind had shifted again so the left side was now favoured. Team Barking Mad and Team Farr Bar 2 positioned themselves at the pin end. The Groovederci deneen team an the germans and the dutch boat was on the start ship side.

 Short after the start it looked very strange. Strandberg got cought and continued out on the left. Barking Mad had a better position and probably disturbed Strandberg (SWE381) quit a bit.

 The right side boats seemed to have a completely different conditions.

 After the first beat it is only Barking Mad of all the left side of the course boats that are in the top. Strandberg got cought and could not do his own race. The dutch team Triple in the lead, again, followed by the germans.

 A decision for a quick gybe and the german team controls the downwind.

 After the downwind leg the germans are in a comfaortable lead. The early jib really payed off for them. Both american boats came closer as well.

 After the second beat the german team has extended their lead. The american teams has passed the dutch boat as well.

A quite impresing race done by the germans. Tough for the best swedes Farr bar (Strandberg) and Orca who does their worst race of the first day of the Wolrd Championship.
The third race was done much better from a swedish perspective and Orca got a first place.

After today´s three races the rusults are both american boats in top followed by the Dutch team:
