Maurizio Cossutti kommenterar senaste ORCi designen som går under benämningen Next37

Jag frågade Maurizio Cossutti om han ville kommentera designen av sin ORCi racer. Nedan har ni hans kommentar. Ska bli intressant att se hur den går i augusti.

A brief comment to Next 37 design from Maurizio Cossutti:

After some successful racer-cruiser designs, lime M37 and NM 38 (low noise, scugnizza,sugar) this is the first attempt to design a pure racer as light and sophisticated as possible while staying in the strict rating limit of the smaller ORC class.
That doesn't allow sail area/displacement ratios comparable to TP's.  Nevertheless and also a little bit in contrast with the trend imposed by ORC 2013 rule i tried to make the lightest boat keeping a lenght of 37'. It is designed to be competitive also upwind with heavier 40' and hopefully much faster downwind.     
Lightest boat is also funniest boat, and sailing must be fun !
This concept is completed by a sophisticated structural design, and a carbon mast from Hall Spars.
